Adverse Event Insurance Product Survey

The purpose of this product survey is to obtain candid feedback from health insurance industry professionals regarding AMRIC’s Adverse Event Insurance product.  We are not marketing the product at this time.  It will be available during the first part of 2010.  The information provided will not be used to solicit you or your company unless you authorize us in the space provided below to contact you for follow-up questions or information.  In order to complete this survey, we ask that you carefully review the material provided and/or visit our company website.

Summary of Key Features:

  • The product will be distributed as part of members’ group health plan benefits as a non-voluntary benefit. 
     
  • Premium will be around $50 per year for up to $50,000 in coverage and offered in multiples (i.e. $100 for up to $100,000).
     
  • Coverage includes cash compensation for extended hospitalization, temporary impairment, permanent impairment and death resulting from avoidable adverse events.
     
  • The product provides coverage for a broader range of events than medical malpractice. (i.e. avoidable vs. negligence)
